What You’ll Do
Join our team and experience a rewarding and challenging work environment with skilled and supportive teammates. We are currently accepting resumes from organized and team-oriented individuals who are looking for a career as a Shipper Receiver at our Calmont Volvo Truck Centre location Calgary, AB.
As a Shipper Receiver, your primary responsibility is to oversee the loading and unloading of goods, prepare bills and invoices, and check incoming shipments against packing slips. Other job duties will include, but are not limited to:
Check incoming shipments against packing slips.
Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods.
Assemble containers and crates, pack goods to be shipped and prepare identifying information and shipping instructions.
Effectively maintain bin storage system. Unpack and route goods to appropriate storage areas.
Apply return standards to customer returns to properly classify them according to core vendor programs.
Effectively maintain files for trucks, UPS, Purolator, air and other shipments.
Maintain shipping, warehouse and stock rooms ensuring clean, neat area and space/shelving usage is optimized.
Operate forklift to load, unload, transport and store goods.
Driving parts to various locations.
Treat internal and external customers with courtesy, respect, and in accordance with company policy.
Perform other duties as required.
What We’re Looking For
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum of 1 year of related work experience.
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
Experience driving 5 ton truck or cube van is preferred.
Forklift certification considered an asset.
Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and organize workload.
Good communication skills.
