OAKBROOK TERRACE, IL, December 6, 2008 – Gene Scoggins, transportation industry veteran and an executive with NationaLease over the past 10 years, has been named President of the North American full service truck leasing organization. The announcement was made by Doug Clark, Chief Executive Officer.

Scoggins most recently held the position of Vice President, Sales, for NationaLease. During his tenure with NationaLease, he initiated many programs to establish and grow the National Accounts program an average of 20% per year since he started. “We looked both internally and externally for the very best candidate for the job and we’re confident we have chosen the best person,” Clark said.

As President of NationaLease, Scoggins will focus on developing new programs and initiatives that improve return on investment for NationaLease members, such as competitive capital equipment purchasing, increasing the national accounts customer base, and improving member satisfaction.
Scoggins began his career in the transportation industry more than 30 years ago, starting while he was in college at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, GA. Positions he has held during his career include Rental Manager, Account Manager, District Manager, National Account Executive, and Vice President of Sales for NationaLease, Gelco, and PacLease.

Scoggins will operate at the NationaLease headquarters in Oakbrook Terrace, IL.
